Daily Life at Ellerslie Campus - Windsor, CO
The Ellerslie environment has been created as a set-apart training retreat in which you can tune out the distractions of the world and simply focus on your relationship with Christ. Everything that happens on the campus, from classes to meals to free time, is tailored around that goal. The daily schedule has been designed to provide a healthy balance of teaching, prayer, study, quiet time, and fellowship with other believers. And while we strive to maintain an atmosphere of honor, reverence and peace, there is also plenty of laughter, fun and camaraderie on the campus! Lifelong friendships will be forged within this training – both with your fellow students and with the speakers and staff. We consider it a privilege to invest into your spiritual life – and we look forward to maintaining a lifelong connection with you, even long after you leave this program!

CORPORATE PRAYER
Ellerslie is built on the principle of the power and importance of wrestling prayer. So what better way to kick off the day then by functioning in the manner that the Body of Christ was designed to function – as a real-life army. Early morning corporate prayer is an optional aspect of the Ellerslie Training, but for those interested in learning how to pray with authority, importunity, and heavenly force, you won’t want to miss it.
PERSONAL PRAYER AND STUDY
This morning prayer and study time is designed to provide Ellerslie students with the daily opportunity to seek God. In our regular run-ragged lives, an hour and fifteen minutes of individual worship and study time is nearly unheard of. But at Ellerslie, this precious time is preserved as a priority every single day.
CORPORATE STILLNESS
Our desire at Ellerslie is to sponsor the development of spiritual behaviors that many today have never had the privilege of cultivating. Stillness and quietness before God is merely one of those behaviors. In this time of corporate stillness, the students congregate together in the chapel and individually (and yet corporately) wait on God. During stillness time, students can pray, read, or write – but the main desire is to foster a time of contemplative quietness that breeds a readiness and an expectancy within the believing heart.
CORPORATE DEVOTIONS
This is fifteen minutes of pure unadulterated Gospel thinking injected into the Ellerslie morning. Each day is different, prepared and presented by either Ellerslie staff or Advanced Ellerslie students.
CORPORATE WORSHIP
Considered by many to be a favorite part of each day. The Ellerslie experience is so packed full of Jesus Christ that Ellerslie students find a strong yearning to break out in song to Jesus Christ and to articulate the love, thanksgiving, and praise that is stirring within their hearts. Corporate worship is that opportunity. And it is a taste of heaven on earth to witness students from all over the world crying out in one voice the praises of their God.
SESSION ONE
This is the heart of Ellerslie Leadership Training. This is the time when the Scriptures are opened up and Jesus Christ is lifted high. This is when Ellerslie students catch the vision for pouring out their life for the glory of God. This is when the Word of God is venerated, the Gospel is preached, the vision of heavenly honor is articulated, and Christ’s soldiers are inspired to be built into real-world intercessors.
PERSONAL STUDY
This is yet another time in the day for the students to prove eager Bereans (Acts 17:11) with the Word of God and to seek after Jesus Christ on an individual level.
SESSION TWO
Like Session One, in the morning, Session Two keeps the fire spiritual fires stoked and provides yet more of the bravehearted Gospel Life.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES AND FREE TIME
Every day this portion of the schedule looks refreshingly different. Students may choose to head off to the nursing home to love on their favorite elderly friend. A quick jaunt to the grocery store might be in order. A meeting for the Ellerslie Post (our campus newspaper) might take place in this time slot or a meeting to prepare the next Ellerslie Kiddo night. Or making time for a game of ultimate Frisbee or a fun conversation out under the covered porch might be exactly what the day calls for.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES AND STUDY
Every night at Ellerslie offers something unique. There’s the Musicians Fellowship Night, where everyone that plays an instrument, loves to sing and make heavenly noise all gather in the chapel. There’s Kiddo Night, where little kids from all over the community descend on Ellerslie and the students coordinate an evening of serious fun. There’s Game nights, Bonfire nights, Uplifting Movie nights, and nights over at Eric and Leslie’s house for cookies and great conversation. And yes, there are free nights, where nothing is planned except students being free to enjoy Christ and one another.
