JUNE 3 - AUGUST 27, 2017
(12 WEEKS ON CAMPUS, 8 WEEKS AT HOME)
ON THE CHARMING ELLERSLIE CAMPUS IN LOVELY WINDSOR, COLORADO
OF CONTINUED TRAINING UPON YOUR RETURN HOME
At Ellerslie, we specialize in taking you deeper with God and providing an atmosphere where a love for God’s Word, prayer, evangelism and Biblical study can be cultivated in your life. It’s not so much a classical school environment; it’s a spiritual-training retreat that will ignite your passion for Jesus Christ and help you build your life completely around Him. Though our primary goal is helping you strengthen your individual walk with Christ, we are also very purposeful about giving you a strong Scriptural understanding and Biblical framework that will transform your perspective of Christianity, and give you an unshakable foundation upon which to build for the rest of your life.
WE DON'T JUST TALK ABOUT PRAYER—WE PRAY! AND WE DON'T JUST TALK ABOUT THE WORD OF GOD—WE ACTUALLY GET INTO IT! IT IS OUR DESIRE TO LIVE OUT THE GRANDEUR OF THE CHRISTIAN LIFE AND NOT MERELY DISCUSS IT'S MAJESTY!

The Ellerslie Discipleship Training provides the “engine” that propels a Christian life forward into God’s endless frontier. At Ellerslie, we believe that grace is more than the merciful hug of God; it’s the divine, enabling power of His Spirit to transform a human life from the inside out—to supernaturally equip us to live a life that would be impossible in our own strength. We believe that love, joy, and peace are not meant to merely be nice-sounding Scriptural concepts, but rather the daily experience and outflow of the Christian’s life. During the semester, students will explore the key components of the Gospel; study the pattern for historic, Biblical Christianity; and gain a clear understanding for how to not just esteem Truth, but live it out daily through the enabling power of God.
At Ellerslie, we believe that the Word of God has the Divine right to rule and control the life of a believer. The Ellerslie Discipleship Training introduces the ancient principle of Canon—powerfully demonstrating the origins of the Word of God, the flawless nature of the Word of God, and the supernatural construction of the Word of God. During the training, students will gain an unshakable Biblical framework, develop a deep passion for the changeless Word of God, learn to recognize and resist the error of the post-modern gospel, and gain a strong personal grasp of how to study and apply Scripture to every facet of their lives.
At Ellerslie we believe that no area of our life should be exempt from the refining, purifying work of God’s Spirit. A fully consecrated life is one that allows Him to transform every thought, attitude, decision, and action into an expression of His character. The Ellerslie Discipleship Training interjects God’s Truth into the nitty-gritty areas of life—the way we treat others, the way we conduct ourselves, the way we govern our thought-lives, the way we make decisions, the way we handle our sexuality, and the way we spend our free time. During the discipleship training, students will understand how to exchange worldly behavior patterns for God’s glorifying ones, and showcase a heavenly conduct that brings renown to the name of Christ.
The Ellerslie Discipleship Training tackles the key foundational aspects of a believer’s daily walk head on; such as prayer, faith, and spiritual warfare. The discipleship training deals straightforwardly with the confusing areas of disillusionment, pain, and doubt. At Ellerslie, we believe that God is every bit as big as He claims to be, and that He desires to do big things in the lives of His believers. The mediocre expectations that many modern believers have of God will be challenged during the semester, and students will discover the power of wrestling prayer, persistent faith, and putting on the spiritual armor of God.
The Ellerslie Discipleship Training targets a crucial aspect of the Gospel that many Christians overlook: every believer’s call to be God’s hands and feet to the lost, the weak, the poor, the destitute, and the orphan. Throughout the semester, students will learn how to build mighty personal faith and overcome spiritual weakness in order to be truly ready and able to make a godly impact upon the world.
Prayer can’t be baked down into a step-by-step recipe or cookie-cutter formula. But there are some Biblical principles that, when applied to your personal prayer life, can revolutionize your experience with a God who hears and answers prayer. At Ellerslie, we believe that prayer is powerful and is essential in the Christian life. As Leonard Ravenhill once said: "If weak in prayer we are weak everywhere.” Throughout the discipleship training, students will learn how to find vibrant success in their prayer life, not just through academic training, but through spending time on bended knees.
Our modern age is aggressively becoming anti-Christian and every believer must make a choice of where to stand. Similarly, throughout history there have been two churches: the silent church and the confessing church. Will you grow silent and sign upon the dotted line of the culture? Or will you stand for truth, becoming a part of the praying, confessing Church? Throughout the Ellerslie Discipleship Training, students are taught the Good News of Jesus Christ and how to boldly go into all the world in pursuit of lost souls. They will hear the commission for the Church to return to relentless Christianity and will be prepared for the spiritual battle that lies before them.
The transition from spending twelve weeks in Windsor, Colorado to returning home is important.
